How to Apply to Leila Day

Submit a completed application to the Leila Day office. There is no application fee. Applications are accepted at any time, but for fall enrollment it is best to apply before the end of January.

When your application is received, we will call you to schedule an appointment to meet with the director and have a tour of the school. We ask that you not bring your child on this visit.

Following the parent visit to the school, we will ask you to schedule an individual visit with your child. You and your child will visit the classroom with the head teacher and the Director. The purpose of these visits is to help assess whether a good match exists between your child and our program.

Fees in the full day and after school programs are based on a sliding scale according to gross family income and family size. We have a fixed number of places at reduced fee levels, which are made possible through outside funding. Fees in the morning Program are fixed, according to the number of days a child is attending and are not subject to a sliding fee scale.

Decisions regarding enrollment are generally made by mid-March and contracts for the fall program are sent out at that time. Depending on the number of places available in a given group and the number of applicants, we may be able to give you advance information regarding your child’s enrollment.
